1. Can sdst be applied to all types of surfaces?
The self-disinfecting coating can be applied to many different types of surfaces, porous and non-porous, even textile and leather.

2. How does the coating stay effective for 3 months?
The coating contains an active ingredient that is effective against many micro-organisms such as bacteria, viruses and fungi. The compound is able to adhere to the surface for prolonged duration due to the unique bonding agents in the solution. The bonding is strong enough to withstand repeated cleaning and disinfecting for up to 3 months.

3. Do I still need to clean the surface after treatment with sdst?
Yes, cleaning is still required if the surface is soiled. Daily cleaning of coated surfaces with cloth and water / detergent, will not remove the protective layer.

4. Does that mean I can stop washing my hands?
Absolutely not. Please do not get complacent. Washing your hands is fundamental for good personal hygiene. Even if all the high-frequency touch points are coated with sdst, those are not the only surfaces you will touch. Moreover, surface transmission is not the only way germs transmit.

5. Is sdst effective against the COVID-19 virus?
The coating has been tested against a number of viruses and bacteria. Based on the test results from many countries, it is effective against COVID-19.

6. Is sdst safe to the skin and to the environment?
The coating has been tested by the US EPA and various international 3rd party laboratories and is found to be harmless to the skin and to the environment

7. Is sdst safe for infants and young children?
Yes. It has been tested to be safe for infants and young children.

8. Can I use this coating to coat babies’ and children’s toys?
Yes, it can be applied to different types of materials.

9. What are the active ingredients in this coating solution?
The active ingredient is modified quaternary ammonium chloride which has been listed by the US-EPA as the effective ingredient against COVID-19.

10. Is sdtravel same as sdst? Why is it of a different name and packaging? Where can we purchase sdtravel?
sdtravel is an exclusive compact-sized version of sdst, developed as part of a partnership between GIFT by Changi Airport and SUTL Environtech. The size and packaging of sdtravel varies from sdst but the contents within is the same. sdtravel retails at GIFT by Changi Airport, Changi Airport’s lifestyle and travel retail store, located on Level 4 of Jewel Changi Airport. It is also available for online preorder via Changi Airport’s e-commerce channels as reflected on the product page.

11. How long will it take for my order to reach me?

13. I would like to modify my order, can you help change it?
Once your order is confirmed, the order quantity and shipping type may not be modified. We can help to cancel and refund if your order has not shipped out. From there you can place a reorder. If your order has already been shipped, we are unfortunately unable to assist at that point.

14. I made a mistake in my shipping details, can you help correct it?
Yes. Please email us immediately, we can help to correct your address or phone number. If your order has already been shipped, we are unfortunately unable to assist at that point.

15. What happens if I was unable to accept the delivery?
If you missed your first delivery attempt, our shipping partner should have attempted to call you to reschedule the delivery. If you miss your second delivery attempt, the parcel will be returned to us. We will then proceed to cancel and refund half your order. Shipping fees will not be refunded. If you need to contact our shipping partner, you can write to them at cs_sg@jtexpress.sg.

16. Is there a self-pickup option?
Unfortunately not. Please help us combat COVID-19 by reducing traveling and physical interactions where possible.

17. Why am I not receiving your emails?
Once you complete your order, you should immediately receive an Order Confirmation email. If you did not receive the email, there are usually three main reasons: a) Your order did not go through. You can double check your credit card statement to be sure. b) The email went into your junk mail folder. c) You keyed in the wrong email address at checkout. If you have issues with receiving email updates please write in to us via our Contact Form.

18. Your product has sold out, may I know when is the next shipment arriving?
Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 situation, there are a lot supply chain disruptions. We are always actively trying to restock however, till the supply chains return to normal, we cannot provide a certain date as to when the next batch will arrive.
